Reflective strips, tapes, and fabric strips are special materials with surfaces typically coated with tiny glass beads or other reflective particles. When light shines on these particles, a strong reflection is produced, making the person or object wearing or using the reflective strip highly visible at night or in low-light conditions.

Principle of Reflective Strips

Microscopic Glass Beads:
The microscopic glass beads on the surface of reflective strips are key to producing the reflective effect. These beads have polyhedral structures that reflect light at various angles, creating a strong reflective glow.

Light Reflection:
When light hits the surface of a reflective strip, it is refracted and reflected by the microscopic glass beads. Some of the light is reflected directly back toward the light source, while other portions scatter in all directions. This reflected light makes the strip particularly noticeable in the dark or in low-light environments.

Types of Reflective Strips

• Sew-on Reflective Strips:
  Commonly used in making reflective vests, hats, etc., and can be sewn onto clothing.

• Adhesive Reflective Strips:
  These have an adhesive backing and can be directly applied to various surfaces such as vehicles, bicycles, backpacks, etc.

• Heat Transfer Reflective Strips:
  These require heat pressing to transfer reflective patterns onto clothing or other items.
